More Great Firefox Tips and Extensions
April 12th, 2006 by jay
Thanks to my uncle for passing this along to me. Check out this blog entry (link below) for a nice write up on some Firefox tweaks and extensions. Best three things I gained from it are:
- config.trim_on_minimize tweak using about:config which greatly slashes the memory used by Firefox when you minimize it
- the REVEAL extension for Firefox, which I’ve heard about from many many people but hadn’t really looked at it until now. It is without a doubt the coolest extension you’ve seen and Mac users would love it. Gotta do the quick tutorial after loading.
- Although not as cool or impressive as the other two, I also added the Fission extension- I like how it changes the status bar to your address bar…yay pretty
Firefox just gets better and better!

I am amazed at how far this Firefox article has spread. I am glad you enjoyed the article, hope the tweaks and extensions worked well for you. Nice website design, I like the color scheme.
