Lifehacker editor Gina Trapani recently released a new Firefox extension called Better Gmail, and let me tell you it really does make your gmail experience MUCH better. It is basically a collection of some top Greasemonkey scripts that deal with increasing productivity for Gmail. For those unaware Greasemonkey is a Firefox extension that allows you to create or download scripts which alter web pages on the fly. The great thing about the Better Gmail extension is you can take advantage of these features without having to install Greasemonkey, which although is a very powerful and popular extension- it also is more geared for the tech savy users out there.

Back to the Better Gmail extension, there are many features it adds to your Gmail experience- too many to list here. However I will point out three of my favorite ones:

  • Conversation Previews: Allows you to right-click on a conversation to preview the contents of the email without opening
  • Saved Searchs: Provides capability to create custom search filters using complex queries to help with organization
  • Attachment Reminder: Keeps you from forgetting to send the attachment when you use a form of the word attachment

These are just a few of the many features, to see more and to install just click link below.
