In time for the Holidays- WishCentral.com

Here’s a neat service that I found recently and am now using to create my own custom wishlist to help my family in completing their Christmas shopping for me this holiday season. The service is completely free and pretty easy to use, although it could be improved and I’m sure it will over time.
The basic concept is you add gift ideas along with a brief description to your wishlist with the option of adding specific links to online stores, gift price, and gift images. Then you can send out an email through the site to your friends and family which will give them a direct link to your wishlist. If they want to get you a particular item they can reserve it so that no one else will get it, preventing the doubling of gifts that always seems to happen. Another cool feature is that you can easily sync up your Amazon.com wishlist with your wishcentral.com wishlist, making it that much easier to add new items.
Also it’s worth mentioning that you can’t see when or if someone has reserved a gift from your list when you are logged in. Sure you can get around that, but it’s no different than sneaking into your parents closet when you were young- all it does is take the fun out of Christmas day so why do it!
