Republicans may not enter YouTube debate

I’d really be disappointed if the Republicans skip the YouTube debate. I personally thought the Democratic YouTube debate was a breath of fresh air into the political process. It seemed the best way yet to get real answers and to get candidates off their scripted talking points as much as possible. I think the Republicans could possibly lose a lot of voters by shunning this, especially the younger generation that hopefully will get up and vote in better numbers for this election.
I ran across this site focused on saving this debate where you can sign a petition. Not sure how much good it will do but I signed it and thought I’d put it up on my blog to muster of other to do so. And for the record I think regardless of whether you already know who or what party you will vote for I think a debate in this format is good for everyone.
OK scratch that, I took off the embedded javascript for the petition because the text in it was freakin huge. Instead I’ll just give you a link to visit the site!
