For you music lovers out there, put your votes in for your favorite bands battling in March Madness bracket style.

Battlepalooza 2007 Contest

I’m hoping for a Final Four of Kings of Leon, The Rapture, Modest Mouse, and Muse. Early knock out disappointments with Regina Spektor, Silversun Pickups, and TV on the Radio going down well before they should have.

Speaking of basketball it reminds me how the new UCF basketball arena is looking awesome, can’t wait for this fall already. A new stadium AND arena in one year…man I love UCF.

Haha, the Red Eye. It’s kind of a joke here. It’s basically a tabloid version of people magazine that tries to pass itself of as news for ex-frat/ex-sorority types that ride the trains to work. It’ big and flashy and lacks any substance. It seems all the more fitting that they would be so shallow as to have a tournament of bands. It’s their pathetic way to look hip and inform the brainless masses here in Chicago, which wouldn’t have a clue otherwise because they depend on the Red-Eye for news.

Interesting…I hadn’t heard of the Red Eye until I saw a link to this contest via The Rapture.

It wasn’t a shot at you, it’s just that I loath that paper and I couldn’t contain the urge.
