Willow Tree in Sanford is the BEST!

If you live in Central Florida and you haven’t gone to the Willow Tree Cafe then you don’t know what you are missing. The Willow Tree Cafe is a authentic German restaurant on 1st St in historic downtown Sanford. It’s much more than just a place you go and get a delicious meal like say sauerbraten, spatzle, kraut, and a potato pancake appetizer. It’s a place you go to get some very tasty German beer in .5L, 1L, 2L, or even in the huge 3L mug (pictured) which is called Das Boot! However almost as important as the food and beer it’s a place you go to be entertained by the oom pah band and the great lively atmosphere.
The band only plays Thursday - Sunday nights so if you haven’t gone on those days or only gone for lunch you need to experience it during it’s finest time! Strongly recommend reservations as the place is very popular now.
I just organized a group of 28 friends to go this past weekend and everyone had a blast. Here are some pics of our time there and here is a random video I found on the web that gives you an idea of the atmosphere!
