Orlando is Growing Up

Late Thursday night the Orange County Commission approved a venue deal of $1.1 billion dollars that will give us a new state of the art arena, performing arts center, and a major renovation to the Citrus Bowl. As a lifelong resident and someone who expects to live here my entire life I couldn’t be happier! I really feel that the city needs this to move forward to give the citizens a better way of life with more access to great sporting and cultural events. I’m VERY HAPPY about this right now, great job OCC!

Add this to the new stadium and arena at UCF and Orlando is suddenly going to have some of the top facilities in not only the state of Florida but all of the Southeast. Time to watch UCF football games on campus where they belong. Time for the big concert acts to stop passing us by for other cities. Time to keep the Magic here in Orlando for my lifetime. Time to watch UCF basketball in an arena worthy of their level of play. Time to watch the top touring Broadway shows. And time to keep the top notch bowl games that Orlando enjoys. Our time is now and it’s gonna happen, finally!
