I’m a few days late on here, but no worries I didn’t actually forget it myself. Shannon and I celebrated our 6th anniversary this past weekend! It’s been a long time, but we’ve got so many years to go which is exciting when you are in a great relationship with a wonderful person!

So for our anniversary we didn’t want to do anything too crazy because we’ve been traveling so much with more on this weekend, but we wanted to do something different. So we went and checked out the Lakeridge Winery in Clearmont, FL which has a summer music series going on right now. We’d never been to the winery and honestly I wasn’t expecting much especially considering I’ve become a bit of a wine snob, however I was a bit impressed. I’m a big dry red wine man myself, and they don’t have anything that will blow your socks off in that regard but they have some pretty decent sweet wines. We bought a couple bottles of their Southern Red and Sunblush. Not bad at all for summer drinking in the hot weather. They also had a good blues band playing out back called GitLo. Fun afternoon!

Afterwards we headed up the road to the charming town of Mt Dora. We had a pre-dinner drink and chips & guac at the local Mexican resturant where we met a fun couple. Then we headed to the Goblin Market based on a few recommendations. Neat place, unfortanetely they were completely full except for the bar area but we made it work. Menu full of lots of interesting creations (I had some almond crusted stuff chicken with pesto sauce) and the food was excellent although slightly on the pricey side. I’d definitely recommend the place though!
