Obese People Cheaper to Treat

A new study in the Public Library of Science Medicine journal found that while preventing obesity and smoking can save lives, it’s going to cost us all in the long run. In a way, it’s almost comical, but I guess it makes sense in that healthier people will live longer and thus run up a greater health care tab.
So as my co-worker said:
“Be thoughtful to your fellow citizens and smoke ‘em if you got ‘em boys! And if you can’t stand to smoke, then eat like a pig!”
