My Review of The Arcade Fire at Radio City Music Hall
May 11th, 2007 by jay
Just got back from my trip up to Stamford / NYC which included going to my first ever Arcade Fire concert. Let me assure you that this first one will not be my last because I absolutely cannot wait to see them once again. They are incredible live and although I think a place like Radio City Music Hall (with seats) isn’t particularly well suited for them they made it work and made the night an event I won’t forget. We had seats in the 1st level Mezzanine so we were further away then I would have liked to be but nothing could ruin the night as I heard AF play songs that I already I loved, but now somehow love so much more.
Here was the set list they played, which was great:
- Keep the Car Running
- No Cars Go
- Haiti
- Black Mirror
- Neighborhood #2 (Laika)
- In the Backseat
- My Body is a Cage
- Ocean of Noise
- Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels)
- The Well & the Lighthouse
- Antichrist Television Blues
- Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
- Rebellion (Lies)
Encores:
- Intervention
- Wake Up
Although I took some pics and a few quick videos nothing compares to the ones I found on other blogs so I’ll post those instead below. And I also point you to some other reviews that do the show more justice than I could…I’ll just say that there’s never been two songs that I’ve had more fun watching live than Rebellion and Wake Up, the price of admission was worth it just for those two. The first clip below is of Win singing in the from down in the crowd, it still pumps me up to watch days later.
