Album Review: In Our Bedroom After the War by Stars
August 9th, 2007 by jay
A few weeks ago I downloaded Stars new album title In Our Bedroom After the War from emusic.com. I gotta say this is a pretty solid album top to bottom and it’s making me quite the Stars fan now. The two songs that absolutely stick out to me are “Ghost of Genova Heights” and “Take Me to The Riot” with “Window Bird” not far behind. Out of 13 total tracks I have 9 of them ranked with 4 stars or more in iTunes so that shows my thoughts on it pretty clearly. If you haven’t heard their stuff, click this link to listen to some samples from the album.
I haven’t heard the new album yet ( I don’t believe it’s been released in cd form), but I really dug their last 3 albums:
Set yourself on fire
Hearts
Nightsongs
Set yourself on fire and hearts are especially great.
Correct its not in cd form yet, they did an early digital release.
I only have Set Yourself on Fire of those three, but now that’s I’ve become a bigger fan I may have to get some of their older stuff and check it out.
“Celebration Guns” is such a unique song on SYOF, it’s really the one that made that group stand out to me. Good stuff…
