Believe it or not your tires have an expiration date. According to this report by ABC’s 20/20 tires that are over 6 years old can be very dangerous to drive even if they’ve never been used. Many deaths on the road are thought to be a result of these expired tires.
There is a code (shown below) on the tire that will tell you when it was produced however it’s likely on the interior of the tire so it will be a pain to find but well worth it considering it can save your life.
